   Founder

Scott Steelman

Scott Steelman has been in full time ministry since 1986.  During Scott's first 15 years of ministry, he served as a pastor to students attending churches in Alabama and Florida. During his time as a student pastor, Scott used creative ways to reach out and minister to the needs of students. One example of his creativity was a coffee house ministry that reached out to hundreds of college students in a tri-county area in south Florida.

In 2001, he moved his family to Rome, Italy where he developed a national student ministry for the country of Italy in partnership with Italy for Christ. During his 6 years in Italy, he helped evangelical churches all across Italy develop student ministries that reached out to the youth of their cities. He also began a national youth leader's conference and held numerous camps and conferences throughout the country. During Scott's time in Italy the Lord began to create in him a passion for missions and citywide transformation.

It was through that passion that Global Effect was birthed in 2008. Scott and his wife, Vicki, reside in Panama City Beach, Florida with their three daughters.
